Synergies between the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology

Since 1996, the Marie Skodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) have become the Union’s reference programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training. The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) was established in 2008 in order to contribute to sustainable economic growth and competitiveness by reinforcing the innovation capacity of the European Union and its Member States.

EIC Accelerator implementation update

The EIC Accelerator, with a unique offer of grants, blended finance and equity investments, has proven to be of high interest for start-ups and SMEs since its launch in March 2021. In particular with the current market context showing a withdrawal of new deep-tech investments by Venture Capital groups, the role of the EIC Accelerator is becoming increasingly important to provide early-stage support to promising start-ups and crowd-in other investors.
