The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) is an independent body of the European Union set up in 2008 to deliver innovation across Europe. The EIT's mission is to create jobs and deliver sustainable and smart growth.
EIT is an integral part of Horizon Europe, the EU’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
EIT brings together organisations across business, education, and research. The goal of these partnerships is to find and commercialise solutions to pressing global challenges. For each global challenge, there is an ecosystem of partnerships called Knowledge and Innovation Communities.
