The National Horizon Europe Office (the Office) was established on 23 May 2023, within the framework of the 5th Informal Meeting of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Working Group on Research and Innovation.
The purpose of the Office is to increase the participation of entities from the Republic of Moldova in European Union programmes and initiatives in the fields of research and innovation, with the aim of achieving a level of participation in EU Framework Programmes comparable to the European average. The National Horizon Europe Office operates in accordance with the Regulations approved by the National Agency for Research and Development (NARD).
To achieve its purpose, the Office pursues the following objectives:
→ Information and awareness-raising;
→ Cooperation with the NCP Network, Official Representatives and National Experts;
→ Development of a contact network within universities, research institutions, NGOs, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as other organizations;
→ Organization of Information Days, trainings, workshops, info weeks, etc.;
→ Provision of assistance and advisory services;
→ Provision of analyses, statistical data and feedback.
Main activities:
✔ Provision of consultations on the coordinated thematic areas;
✔ Assistance and support in partner search and cooperation with the diaspora;
✔ Facilitation of cooperation with higher education institutions, research institutions, NGOs, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other organizations interested in the Horizon Europe Programme;
✔ Organization of trainings, seminars, information days and other events aimed at strengthening the capacities of the National Contact Points (NCPs) in Moldova and of individuals interested in submitting project proposals under the Horizon Europe Programme.
