„Alecu Russo” Balti State University (USARB) is a higher education institution founded in 1945, which has a rich history, traditions and experience, and assumes the role of proponent of scientific, educational and cultural excellence in society. Since its establishment and until now, the university has diversified its academic offer, developing study programs at all educational levels: bachelor, master, PhD studies and ongoing training.
The academic community of the university - students, teachers, researchers, ancillary teaching and temporary staff, graduates and partners - ensures a progressive and stable environment, open to national and international collaborations, an environment in which each student and collaborator can develop their creative ideas and realize their personal and professional potential.
The basic objective of „Alecu Russo” Balti State University is to prepare in a short time the teaching staff necessary for the education system in the republic, aiming at:
- Qualitative training of school teachers for middle school;
- Creating the conditions for the research activity of teachers and students;
- Transmitting scientific knowledge, especially pedagogical knowledge.
USARB is a member of about 30 international consortia established with the purpose of implementing joint projects. It has established over 70 collaboration agreements with national and international higher education institutions.
