The National Agency for Research and Development (NARD) announces the launch of the M-HERO Project, an essential step towards the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Research Area (ERA) and towards increasing participation in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
Objectives of the M-HERO Project:
- Strengthening the Horizon Europe Office (HEO) in Moldova;
- Developing the national network of National Contact Points (NCPs);
- Creating a sustainable and high-quality support system for the scientific community;
- Providing increased opportunities for participation in Horizon Europe.
Importance of the project:
The M-HERO Project contributes to strengthening institutional capacities and professional expertise, offering effective support to researchers, companies, public institutions, and other stakeholders. Through this initiative, Moldova will benefit from stronger connections with the European Union and new opportunities for research and innovation.
Project duration:
M-HERO starts on 1 September 2025 and will be implemented over a period of 36 months.
About the Horizon Europe Office
The Horizon Europe Office is established based on the Regulation approved by the National Agency for Research and Development. It began its activity on 23 May 2023.Â
Starting from 1 September 2025, the European Union has provided financial support to enhance the quality of proposals, the competitiveness of researchers, innovators, and SMEs, as well as to promote international collaboration and knowledge exchange. The support scheme will run until August 2028.
